16.3 Ohm's Law
In 1826, George Simon Ohm investigated the relationship between electric potential difference across a conductor and the current flowing through it.
lightbulbAccording to Ohm's law, the current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference V across its two ends, provided the physical state of the conductor remains the same.
V = I R
R = V / I
where R is the resistance of the conductor.
