Introduction
Training a big network can take hours or days. You need to save it — to use it later, to deploy it, and to resume training if your computer crashes halfway. You also want training to be fast, which means using a GPU. And you want your results to be reproducible, so you (and others) can trust and repeat them.
These are the practical "housekeeping" skills that separate a notebook experiment from a dependable project.
