2.1.1 CI/CD
Continuous Integration runs tests on each push. Continuous Delivery / Deployment pushes a passing build to an environment.
Why it matters
Manual deploys are slow and easy to get wrong. A pipeline makes “green main” a shippable artifact.
How it is used
On pull request: lint, unit tests, build the image. On main: deploy to staging, then prod with approval or an automatic canary. Keep the pipeline the only way to production.
