3.1.1 Timeouts
A timeout is the longest you wait for a connect, a write, or a full response. Every outbound call needs one.
Why it matters
If service B hangs, threads or async slots in A fill up. Then A hangs for its callers. Timeouts stop the pile-up.
How it is used
Set connect timeout short (hundreds of ms) and request timeout based on the SLA (for example 2s). Timeouts must be shorter than the caller's own deadline, or the caller gives up first.
