Introduction

The anti-derivative, constant of integration, linearity properties, and standard integration rules.

Introduction

Integration is the reverse process of differentiation. If ddx[F(x)]=f(x)\dfrac{d}{dx}[F(x)] = f(x), then F(x)F(x) is an antiderivative of f(x)f(x), denoted:

∫f(x) dx=F(x)+C\int f(x) \, dx = F(x) + C

where CC is an arbitrary constant of integration.
