Key idea

To find A−1A^{-1} (when it exists), form the augmented matrix:

[A∣I][A\mid I]

Apply elementary row operations until the left block becomes II:

[I∣A−1][I\mid A^{-1}]

If the left block cannot be reduced to II, then AA is singular and has no inverse.

Discuss theoretical concepts, mathematical formulas, and architectural foundations.
