14.3 Refraction Through Prism
A prism is a transparent optical object with at least two polished plane surfaces inclined towards each other. In the case of a triangular prism, light passing through it does not emerge parallel to its original path but instead changes direction.
When an incident ray strikes the prism, it bends towards the normal as it enters and bends again as it exits. The emergent ray is not parallel to the incident ray but is deviated by an angle D, known as the angle of deviation.
